Right now we have a new moon in the sign of Aquarius. The new moon stands for new beginnings and refilling of energy for new projects.
Aquarius represents original or unconventional ideas, the sign is inventive, sociable, creative and freedom-loving.
The new moon in Aquarius invites us to develop creative ideas and to take unconventional paths.
As a theme for the entire reading we have the healing of the unconscious, fears can come up and feelings that were not previously conscious.
On the Yin Side it is about being guided by spirit and listen to the inner voice. The Yin Side is free and should stop to compare with others. They are invited to go on their individual path.
On the Yang Side it is about realizing that one is worthy of feeling good and to live their life according to their true nature. The Yang Side is invited to flourish and show their loving and compassionate manner.
For a short meditation session I chose a Mudra for the Yin and the Yang Side. Chose the one that resonates with you.
For the Yin Side it is Jnana Mudra connected with the Third Eye Chakra.
For the Yang Side it is Vajrapradama Mudra connected with the Heart Chakra.
Sit down in a comfortable meditation position. It is important that you can sit comfortably for several minutes, so don’t force yourself into a position that is uncomfortable for you. Vajrasana or Sukhasana is a good seating position, but you can also meditate on a chair.
Now bring your shoulders back and rest your arms comfortably, for example on your thighs. Lower your chin. Breathe in and out. Form your hands into the according mudra:
Jnana Mudra: Place your index finger under the tip of your thumb to form a circle, your remaining three fingers are extended. The back of your hands rest on the thighs or knees, with palms facing upward.
Vajrapradama Mudra: Your fingers are woven together, place them in front of your chest over the heart center. Your thumbs spread apart.
Close your eyes.
Breathe in and out and feel how your belly is rising up and down while you are breathing.
Maybe you can also feel your breath rising in and out of your nostrils.
Focus on your breath.
Between breathing in and out there is a short pause.
How does this pause feel? What sensations are arising in you.
Be gentle with yourself, when thoughts are coming up while meditating.
Just come back to your breath.
Come back slowly to your presence in the room. Maybe you can hear sounds or smell certain scents.
Open your eyes.
